Sussex – Normandy cross-channel sailing experience
Tickets are now available for SailLink's pilot sailing between Shoreham Port in Sussex and Fécamp in Normandy, offering a unique opportunity to cross the Channel under sail.
We are excited that a limited number of trial voyages will offer passengers the special chance to travel between Sussex and Normandy aboard the impressive sailing catamaran Mer Agitée, helmed by two-time Vendée Globe winner Michel Desjoyeaux.
What is SailLink?
In 2025, SailLink ran its first sailing ferry link between Dover and Boulogne-sur-Mer by catamaran, and is continuing to do so this year, proving that a Channel crossing under sail is possible and can be a regular connection between the two destinations.
Shoreham Port – Fécamp opportunity
This is a one-off trial, to show that a Normandy to Sussex sailing link can exist. Following a route steeped in history, including connections to the journey made by King Charles II, who reached Fécamp from Shoreham in 1651. Passengers will enjoy a memorable adventure across the Channel before exploring the rich heritage and culture that await on either side of the water.
12 places per crossing, 60 across the pilot week in total; this promises to be an unforgettable experience for those looking for a different way to travel.

- La Seine à Vélo can be accessed via Le Havre, offering routes onwards to Rouen and Paris.
- On the Sussex side, coastal cycling routes provide scenic rides towards Brighton, Eastbourne and beyond.
Bikes travel inside the boat, protected from salt spray and the elements, for £10 per bike.
