Description

Do you have retail experience and would like to work in a unique and varied role here at Shoreham Port? Lady Bee is a popular chandlery business based on the Port estate.

A typical day will involve opening/closing up the retail outlet, building relationships with our leisure customers who use the chandlery as well as the opportunity to work across the estate when carrying out general Marina maintenance.

Main duties, tasks and responsibilitiesĀ 

You will be responsible for serving customers, stock management, order preparation and providing product advice to customers.

You’ll also have the opportunity to support the Marina Manager with the management of our marinas, which includes the collection of mooring fees, general Marina maintenance, taking visitor bookings and working with Shoreham Harbour Radio so that vessels arrive safely.

Key Skills and experienceĀ 

  • You thrive on delivering great customer service
  • Good interpersonal, oral, numeracy and written communication skills are essential.
  • You are an ā€˜all in’ team player
  • Some marine experience would be helpful but if not, and the role interests you, we would love to hear from you
  • Our estate is large, so you will need a current UK driving licence to move around the Port

To provide the best possible service to our customers the role operates on a seasonal basis and requires a high degree of flexibility including weekend working. We are able to offer a minimum of 20 hours a week, up to 40 hours a week, which must include weekend working. Hours to be discussed and agreed with the Marina Manager.

Training

Training will be arranged for the successful candidate to support development needs.
