As a Commercial Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience, working within a well-established, knowledgeable team of commercial and operational experts. This is a rare opportunity to build a strong foundation in business development, customer management, marketing, and commercial operations, all within one of the South Coast’s most dynamic and community‑focused Trust Ports. From project cargo movements to managing over 150 commercial tenants across our extensive property estate, our Commercial team plays a vital role in shaping the Port’s future.

We will review all the application forms and invite candidates who we think closely match our requirements to an Open Evening where we will tell you a little bit more about the Port and you will have an opportunity to meet some of our team.

We will invite candidates to an assessment event. We pride ourselves on our colleagues being their authentic self at work and so the event will be informal and will be a great opportunity to meet other candidates. It is likely to involve some group discussion, a job-related activity and a short interview with members of the team. Don’t worry, this is an opportunity for you to get to know us, and for us to get to know you, in a friendly and welcoming environment.
