As a Trust Port we aim to support our local community in many different ways; from colleagues volunteering, using their expertise to help the local community, through to litter picks with community groups and fundraising charity days. Activities like these enable us to give back to our community. If you are interested in discussing how we can work together, please contact us to discuss your request.
Alongside the CSR activities we arrange, we have formed exciting partnerships with a variety of organisations to benefit our local community.
We make a significant annual donation of £20,000 towards Shoreham Academy’s Gateway Centre; a local school provision that supports the most vulnerable young people within our community. Students are able to gain the key qualifications, high levels of attendance and most importantly, confidence, to secure further study, a future that otherwise may not be possible.
The World Cetacean Alliance is the world’s largest marine conservation charity and Sussex Dolphin Project is their local initiative that celebrates and protects marine animals in Sussex, with their visitor centre based at our Port. We are working with the Sussex Dolphin Project to rewild our Port and to launch innovative nature and conservation projects.
We are a proud Station Partner at Southwick railway station and continue working on a number of improvement schemes for them.
