Description
Would you like the benefits of a Marine role without long periods of time at sea? An exciting opportunity has arisen at Shoreham Port for a Coxswain/Assistant Lockmaster. You will be responsible for the safe transfer of colleagues to and from the pilot cutter and for its maintenance. As a Coxswain/Assistant Lockmaster you will be working as part of a close-knit team on a tidal shift pattern. You will have a chance to work in the heart of Marine Operations, Harbour Radio and assisting Lockmasters with operational requirements. If you have a Port/Seafaring/Marine operations background and practical knowledge of the Port Marine Safety Code, the Marine Team would love to hear from you.

Our Marine Team offer a range of maritime services to merchant and fishing vessels, as well as bed levelling, towage support and diving services.
Key Skills
- Port/Seafaring/Marine operations background
- RYA Powerboat Advanced Certificate – Commercially endorsed – or higher certification
- Diesel engine knowledge
- ENG1 medical certificate
- Technical knowledge of the Port Marine Safety Code
- Enthusiasm
- Team player
- Applicants will need to hold a driving license

- Training will be arranged for the successful candidate to support development needs.
