Our fishing history dates back to the 13th century. Shoreham Port remains perfectly located close to eastern fishing channels, and is a haven for the local fishing community, with high quality, safe mooring facilities within our canal.
We offer many facilities to fishing vessels, including sheltered and secure moorings within our canal, access to fresh water, as well as the opportunity to unload your catch to local fish mongers and processing plants. Our Operations team can provide forklifts and craning equipment on request for fishing vessels, ensuring the quick delivery of goods from vessel to land.
As opposed to tidal berths, our impounded canal results in very little rise and fall within water levels, meaning your vessel remains acessible from the quayside.
We also offer one of the few remaining dry dock facilities on the South Coast, an important haven and repair centre for vessels registered elsewhere.
We are committed to full compliance with the Port Marine Safety Code.
