Public Notices

03/08/2020

Please be aware that the Southwick Beach Revetment will be closed to the public tomorrow, Tuesday 4th August. This is due to maintenance works on the Port's wind turbines. The revetment will be closed around the localised working area for the duration of the works but access will remain along the beach.

20/07/2020 - LADY BEE MARINA WORKS

Please note, we will be undertaking improvement works at Lady Bee Marina during the week commencing 27th July, for approximately one week. This will involve putting in place steel poles for the pontoons during office hours and may result in some noise.

04/07/2020 - HARBOUR ARMS TRIAL OPENING

Following the changes to social distancing rules commencing this Saturday 4th July, our Harbour Arms will be open this weekend for angling and the public on a trial basis. As the breakwaters are narrow structures leading to a dead end, there may be a requirement to periodically close them. Angling pitches have been limited and have been marked out at 4 metres apart on both the Eastern and Western Arms. Shoreham Harbour Arms Community Organisation (SHACO) will be managing access during both daytime and at night, with volunteers stationed at the entrances. Updated signage has been erected. We will review long-term opening following the trial period.

27/05/2020 - PARKING UPDATE

We wish to advise that from 1st of June new chargeable parking facilities will be available in our Nautilus House Car Park, our Basin Road South car park will also change to a chargeable facility (please see HERE for available parking times at each site). All proceeds will be reinvested in the Port’s facilities, and charges will be fair and in line with local council structures.

13/05/2020 - CONTINUED BREAKWATER CLOSURE

Shoreham Port has always asked stakeholders to follow government guidelines during the national pandemic. Due to social distancing measures, the breakwaters continue to remain closed to the public.

05/05/2020 NORTH CANAL BANK - NOISE MONITORING

Shoreham Port has been monitoring noise levels on the north canal bank opposite Fishersgate Terminal for the past two years following concerns from a small number of residents. We have worked very closely with our tenants, Port users and the Adur Environmental Health Team to reduce noise from Port activities and will continue to do so. However, over the period of our monitoring we have not observed any breaches of consents or statutory nuisances so we will be stepping down the constant monitoring from mid-August. Please contact us info@shoreham-port.co.uk if you have any queries.
