Notice to mariners small boat users no.24 - 2010

SHOREHAM VIADUCT WORKS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that commencing on the 15^th November and continuing for approximately 2 weeks, maintenance works will be carried out on Shoreham Viaduct (Railway Bridge).

 

The works involve locally scaffolding a number of the iron piers and installing iron hoops to the perimeter of these piers.

 Plant to be used will include cranes and safety boats.

 A lookout will be posted to ensure the safety of the works.

 Vessels should proceed at a slow speed when navigating in proximity to these works.

 

Masters and others in charge of craft are warned to navigate with caution and to pay strict attention to any instructions issued to them from Shoreham Harbour Radio.
