Shoreham Port would like to invite all local residents and port users to learn about developments at Shoreham Port, talk to our team and ask questions. Shoreham Port’s Annual Public and Stakeholders Meeting will be held on Tuesday 2nd July from 7pm until 9pm at the Barn Theatre, Southwick Street, Southwick, BN42 4TE.
The Chairman of the Board, Jim May and the Chief Executive, Rodney Lunn will report on the Port’s key achievements to date and provide an update on future developments for the Port. It is a great opportunity to discuss your views and pose questions to members of the Board and senior management team and to find out more about the Port.
The public meeting will enable people to discuss large scale projects such as the construction of Edgeley Green’s £20 million biofuel power station. Shoreham Port will also report on other sustainable projects, such as the installation of up to 2000 solar panels to power hundreds of local homes. Other talking points will include the refurbishment of two timber groynes and access steps outside Carat’s Cafe to help maintain a healthy beach and provide protection to the roads and property, the completion of the grain silos export shed, the recycling of crushed glass to European markets, a new approach to the control of dust from the export of woodchip and the future of the old Texaco/Valero site.
Join us for an evening of discussion and debate about the future of Shoreham Port. We welcome your views and feedback.
Light refreshments will be available at the start and end of the meeting, and there will be an informal question and answer session. For more information please email korchin@shoreham-port.co.uk or call 01273 598100 to speak to a member of the team.
