A new company, recently set up by Cameron Devlin, has become the latest addition to Shoreham Port’s tenant portfolio. Hidden Cam Studios, based in Unit 5 Hove Enterprise Centre, will continue the current use of the unit as a recording studio. Cameron has already opened up for business and is currently hard at work on the 4th Vile Imbeciles album, a local group fronted by Andy Huxley, formerly of Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster.
Cameron studied sound engineering at the SAE Institute in Amsterdam in 2008, and has been a Producer for the band ‘TNVVNüM’ in Estonia & mix and mastering engineer for Vile Imbeciles “D is for W” in 2010, both of which received high critical acclaim when released. His most recent project, the debut album by Brighton-based afro-funk collective Kalakuta Millionaires, is to be released later this year.
Hidden Cam Studios provides modern recording facilities for a wide range of artists, companies and amateurs alike. Utilising state-of-the-art production hardware and software alongside traditional microphone technique and know-how, they offer professional results at a rate competitive with the larger studios in town.
Cameron Devlin, Owner of Hidden Cam Studios commented “I was attracted to Hove Enterprise Centre for a number of reasons. I can be close to Brighton and easily accessed from there, without having to be in centre. I also found the waterfront location a very appealing aspect.”
Tim Hague, Property Manager at Shoreham Port added “Unit 5 has been a successful recording studio for a number of years and we are delighted that Hidden Cam Studios will continue this use. Cameron has an established background and his business will add to the eclectic range of companies already resident at Hove Enterprise Centre which includes cheese distributors, engravers, personal trainers and translators.”
