From welcoming new tenants, being near to completion on their latest development at Ferry Wharf and winning a building award for excellence, September has been a busy time so far for Shoreham Port. The Port own a substantial property portfolio comprising of over 150 diverse tenants who employ approximately 1,700 people.
New businesses have continued to join the Port’s tenant community this month at their fully serviced business centre Maritime House, with a variety of enterprises including a Business development service, media production company, and an elderly care service.
Mike Dooley, founder of Seniors Helping Seniors (Brighton & Hove) Ltd commented “We employ compassionate, caring, mature people, to assist less able bodied elderly people with companionship, cleaning, shopping, transportation, gardening, laundry etc. I am so pleased that we chose Maritime House to start our new business from, as it's a tranquil haven in a crazy busy world!”
In other news, Pilbeam Construction and the Port’s Property team were delighted to celebrate a win at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) South East Building Excellence Awards last week. Shoreham Port’s Lady Bee Enterprise Centre was presented with the award for Best Small Commercial Project at the LABC’s virtual awards ceremony held last week, for building excellence in the delivery of outstanding construction and workmanship.
Meanwhile, the Port’s latest property development at Ferry Wharf is soon to be complete later this month. The six waterside business units are being built by a skilled local team of businesses including Pilbeam Construction, ECE Architecture and MacConvilles Surveying among many others, and will match the existing contemporary design of the existing Hove Enterprise Centre Extension. The units are sustainably designed, featuring solar panels and are adaptable for a wide range of businesses.
Tim Hague, Director of Property & Development commented “Despite now being a challenging time for many businesses, we are delighted to continue to welcome new tenants to Shoreham Port, and to see our tenant community grow.”
