A vacancy has arisen for a 6 month contract for a Technical Support Assistant based at Shoreham Port in the Nautilus House office. The role will entail providing support to the Engineering Management Team, focussing on the implementation of the new Asset Maintenance Software (AMS) package and providing support in data creation and collation.
The key responsibilities of the job are assisting in establishing the structure and format of the software package, uploading data from the Port's extensive archives and records onto the database, liaising with the suppliers and other users of the package to ensure efficient operation, reviewing and updating maintenance schedules for the Port's substantial assets and investigating missing data to complete the maintenance schedules. The role will entail using AutoCAD to supplement and update Port Drawings and data, producing sketches of proposed and as-built projects and assisting in the maintenance of health and safety records and documentation for the Engineering Team.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience of GIS and/or Asset Database software and AutoCAD.
