Shoreham Port is pleased to welcome Luke Wasylkiw for 6 months as a Technical Support Assistant to implement the Port’s new Asset Maintenance Software (AMS) package. Luke will be responsible for establishing the structure and format of the software package and for data collation.
The AMS package will be hugely beneficial for Shoreham Port as it will provide a comprehensive record of the Port’s assets, and assist the management of their maintenance programs and spares stock, which in turn will save time and money.
Luke has recently completed a Geography Degree at Queen Mary, University of London. During his degree his core modules included Cartography, Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Asset Maintenance Software (AMS), along with numerous environmental science modules. This knowledge will be invaluable to Luke in this role.
Luke said “having admired the port and its history since moving to the area, it is exciting to now be involved in that history. I am looking forward to getting stuck in with the AMS, understanding the ports operations and exploring the port’s past. Everyone has been friendly here and I have settled in easily. Thank you for making me a part of your team!”
Paul Johnson, Safety & Human Resources Director said “we are delighted to welcome Luke to the Port and are looking forward to the AMS package being up and running. The AMS system will provide transparency to our assets and help to streamline processes”.
