During these very tough times, Shoreham Port are delighted to welcome four new tenants to the vibrant Port tenant community. Shoreham Port’s tenant community is made up of a wide range of enterprises that are based at the equally varied tenant spaces; from sole traders, to small businesses, to larger-scale Port-based activities.

A small flooring business has made Hove Enterprise Centre their new home; Kemp Town Flooring. Founded in Brighton in 1992, Kemp Town Flooring is a totally family-run business, with three generations working in the company. The business supply and fit a wide range of carpets, wood, linoleum and laminate to business and residential properties, and have fitted the flooring of Brighton’s Palace Pier, two of Gordon Ramsey’s London restaurants and the homes of local celebrities.

Glenn Scott from Kemp Town Flooring commented “We are very happy to have secured the lease at Shoreham Port as it is the ideal place for us being perfectly sited between Lancing and Brighton and we look forward to a long relationship with the team at the Port."

The Port have also secured three new leases at their business centre, Maritime House. R2 Finance Ltd, a Corporate Finance practice, and Coastline Fire Protection Ltd, a family-run professional Fire Protection service, will be moving to offices in the Port’s business centre in June, and start-up financial trading company KFX Incorporated will be based at Maritime House from July. In accordance with social distancing measures, the Port’ Property team were quick to adapt to new processes and gave the prospective tenants virtual tours to showcase the Port’s waterside office space. Tenants have also taken up the offer of the Port’s newly refurbished storage units conveniently located next to Maritime House.

Donna Raynsford, Building Manager, Maritime House commented "We very much look forward to welcoming our three newest tenants to our Maritime House, who will join over 30 other businesses who call our fully-serviced business centre their base.  We are also pleased to have allocated several of our newly refurbished storage units next to Maritime House and look forward to completion this summer. For more information about our storage units, please email info@shoreham-port.co.uk"

Work also continues in the Port’s latest property development at Ferry Wharf, which consists of six waterside business that matches the existing contemporary design of those at Hove Enterprise Centre. Despite challenges, the project is on schedule and due to be completed in autumn, and much like Shoreham Port’s other recent developments, is being built by a fantastic local collaboration between Pilbeam Construction, ECE Architecture and MacConvilles Surveying, among others.

Tim Hague, Director of Property and Development commented “We are delighted to welcome all of our new tenants to Shoreham Port and to enable businesses to continue their growth, despite the very challenging times we find ourselves in. I’m sure our new tenants across all locations will find the Port an excellent location to expand their businesses.”
