With more than 250 years at the Heart of the Community, Shoreham Port was delighted to support the City Futures annual jobs fair which took place at the Brighton Dome in Church Street.

The event, run by Brighton & Hove City Council in partnership with Job-centre Plus and The Argus, was largely set up to help employers and potential employees fill vacancies, and give employers a chance to meet with a broad spectrum of candidates, who may be interested in joining them.

The port’s representatives Sara Bassett, Finance Director, Safety & HR Director Paul Johnson, and Property Manager Tim Hague and Nicky Goldsbrough, Executive Assistant received a huge amount of interest at their stand and more than 150 candidates left their details.

Paul Johnson commented, “This is the first careers event that Shoreham Port has been involved with and it was great to meet with so many candidates. The careers fair allowed us to register potential applicants as the port is continuing to expand and recruit new staff. We have many exciting projects underway, which will create job opportunities for the local community”

We register all our open vacancies on our website http://www.shoreham-port.co.uk/Jobs
