Shoreham Port are pleased to announce the release of extra tickets for their ‘behind-the-scenes’ boat tours which will be running from Monday 1st July to Friday 5th July.
This year will mark the Port’s fifth consecutive year of boat tours, which enable the local community to learn about both the rich history and the exciting future of Shoreham Port. The Port expects to welcome 1,800 attendees in July.
Each tour will last for approximately 45 minutes and will include live commentary from Port staff. The tours will take attendees down the impounded basin, more commonly known as the canal, where you will be able to see all the action on the terminals and hopefully get a good glimpse of some passing vessels. The boat tours are open to all and free of charge. There is disabled access onto the boat.
Emily Kenneally, Communications Manager at Shoreham Port commented “We are delighted to be able to release a second batch of tickets for our boat tours being held in the first week of July. The event has been hugely popular so far and we hope people who were unable to get a ticket earlier in the year will now be able to join us.”
Kate Tyrer, Communications Executive at Shoreham Port commented “We can’t wait to welcome more people to the Port this summer for our much-anticipated boat tours, giving us the chance to engage with our local community and celebrate the Port’s history. The last batch of tickets sold out in record time, so we encourage everyone to visit the event page and grab the remaining tickets while they still can!”
Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Tickets are free of charge and visitors will be offered free ice cream and hot drink on arrival.
