Shoreham Port has a well-established Corporate Social Responsibility group which meets once a month to discuss donation requests, projects in the community and other ways the Port can benefit its valued stakeholders.
Most recently the Port funded the construction of two new bus shelters along the A259 to ensure that local residents are protected from the elements along an extremely exposed stretch of the road whilst waiting for a bus.
Tim Hague, Director of Property & Development commented “In the wind and rain, waiting at the two-exposed bus stops east of the Schooner Inn was pretty unpleasant. We are delighted to have been able to provide the necessary funding for West Sussex County Council to construct two new bus shelters that will provide much needed comfort for our stakeholders, the local residents.”
Shoreham Port hosted a launch to celebrate the two new bus shelters last week, with the Port’s Director of Property & Development, Tim Hague and Waste Operative, Craig Bennet officially opening the shelters.
The Port will also be utilising the bus shelters to display interesting information about the Port’s events and activities.
