As the New Year gets into full swing the changes on Shoreham Port’s Board of Directors have been confirmed. At the end of 2017 Stuart Condie concluded his successful tenure as Chair of the Board. Stuart was appointed to the Board in January 2011, elected to Deputy Chair in January 2014 and most latterly elected to Chair in January 2015.

Stuart has ensured that the Port has gone from strength to strength over the past seven years, overseeing the direction of considerable strategic developments and consistent growth in revenue. Stuart commented “It has been a pleasure to be a part of such a dynamic organisation that values its customers and stakeholders so highly. I have every confidence in the Port’s ability to continue to grow to meet the needs of its customers, whilst maintaining strong engagement with the local community for years to come.”

Amber Foster has been elected as Chair of the Board from 1st January 2018. Amber has served on the Board since 2015 and was elected Deputy Chair at the start of 2017. Amber brings a wealth of legal experience to the Board and has helped to shape the Board’s effectiveness and contribution. Amber commented “I am pleased to have been appointed as Chair of the Board and look forward to continuing to steer the direction and development of a Port that is both highly commercial and competitive, whilst operating at the heart of the community.”

Taking over from Amber as Deputy Chair, is Trevor Giddings who has been a Board Member since 2015. Trevor has a professional background as a Civil Engineer, with a strong interest in the local community and the importance of Shoreham Port as a catalyst for the regional economy. Trevor said “Shoreham has a diverse and dynamic Board that is well placed to navigate through future challenges and opportunities and I am delighted to play my part, as Deputy Chair.”

Finally, at the start of the year Shoreham Port welcomed Mark Lemmon to the Board. Mark is a financial investment professional with extensive experience in banking and equity investment. His experience of infrastructure investment and advisory make him an invaluable asset to the Port. Mark commented “I am looking forward to contributing to the successes of Shoreham Port and adding value to the Board.”

Rodney Lunn, Chief Executive at Shoreham Port added “We would like to thank Stuart for his significant contribution to the Board over the past seven years.
