Coast to Capital is the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for Brighton and Hove, Croydon, Gatwick Diamond, East Surrey, Lewes and West Sussex. Coast to Capital focuses on the areas where they can stimulate growth and add the most value, working within the private and public sector.

Along with other key businesses, Shoreham Port was invited by Coast to Capital to attend a website workshop this week to discuss thoughts and ideas for their new website, due to be launched in 2016. The Port’s Marketing & Communications Executive, Katie Orchin was happy assist and share her knowledge and skills with Coast to Capital.

Samantha Philpott, Communications Manager at Coast to Capital commented “Feedback on our current website has shown it to be clunky and difficult to navigate. So before developing a new site I felt it was very important to engage with our stakeholders to find out what they want from the site to ensure we design a website that is fit for purpose.

We recently held a workshop which included Shoreham Port, local businesses, local authorities and area partners. Following very insightful discussions on everything from content, the look and feel and navigation, we will now produce a technical specification which will go out to tender and we welcome local web development companies to submit applications in the New Year.”

Katie Orchin commented “I found the workshop really interesting. It was great to meet with people from our local business community and share ideas. Combining experience and skills with staff from other successful organisations was helpful and I have no doubt that the new Coast to Capital website will reflect the quality and character of the organisation.”
