After the success of the first Shoreham Port Boat Tours event in 2015 there will be a second series of behind-the-scenes Boat Tours held as part of the Brighton Fringe on Monday 9th May. The Fringe Boat Tours will be in addition to the two-day Boat Tours event planned for the summer on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th July.
Each tour will last for approximately 45 minutes and will include live commentary from port staff. The tour will take you down the impounded basin, more commonly known as the canal, where you will be able to see all of the action on the terminals and hopefully get a good glimpse of some passing vessels.
The tour is a great opportunity to meet members of the Shoreham Port team, pick up a copy of the latest Annual Report and newsletter, and find out more about the vital role the Port plays in its community and local economy.
Katie Orchin, Marketing & Communications Executive at Shoreham Port commented “We are thrilled to be involved in the Fringe Festival this year. Being so close to Brighton we hope that many Fringe goers will go the extra few miles down the cost to see what the Port has to offer. There will even be free ice creams on offer come rain or shine!”
The Boat Tours are open to all and are free of charge. There is disabled access onto the boat. Places must be booked in advance.
