Yesterday Shoreham Port hosted their annual Customer Day at Fontwell Park Racecourse for the sixth consecutive year. The event gives Shoreham Port the opportunity to thank their customers and contractors for their on-going support in a relaxed and informal environment.
The afternoon consisted of a three course lunch followed by an exciting afternoon of racing. In particular, guests looked forward to the 3:40 race – the Shoreham Port Novice’s Chase. Two of the Port’s Non-Executive Directors, Stuart Nicholls and Trevor Giddings, presented the prize to trainer Neil Mulholland, jockey Tom Scudamore and owners Dajam Ltd for winning the race with their horse ‘Pass the Time’.
Lyn Farkas from Dean Wilson commented “I had an amazing time and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to spend time with such lovely people at a very well organised event. Thank you very much for the invite!”
Peter Anderson from Jönsson Novabolagen AB commented “The event is a great opportunity for us all to network and meet new people. I really enjoy the day out every year and discussing the races with other customers.”
Malcolm White from Sydenhams commented “The set up for this event works very well as the races prove to be a great ice breaker when meeting new people. I really enjoy this event as it gives me the chance to meet other businesses in a social setting. It’s the third time I have attended and it definitely gets better every year.”
Rodney Lunn, Chief Executive at Shoreham Port added “A big thank you to everyone who attended yesterday. Despite the lack of sunshine we all had a fantastic day and we are always grateful for the opportunity to catch up with our customers. We’ve received some excellent feedback and look forward to hosting the event again next year.”
