Port team up with gxs to provide additional security

Security is paramount at Shoreham Port and every effort is made to ensure the Port remains a safe and secure environment. To enhance current safety measures at night and at the weekends, Harbour Master Julian Seaman has appointed external security company ‘GXS Security Ltd’.

GXS Security Ltd is a newly established company formed by long term friends and business partners, Mike O’Hagan and Nick Brewer. Between them they have over 35 years’ experience within the security sector, catering for static, mobile and retail security. Both Mike and Nick were raised locally and have great knowledge of the surrounding area.

Mike commented “Over the years it has become very evident that the key to success is providing a quality service backed up by excellent customer service that is second to none. Because we are local and relatively small, we are contactable 24/7 and will respond to any unexpected situation that arises.

Working in partnership with Shoreham Port is very exciting for us. Shoreham is a very busy port, one of the largest on the South Coast and handles a high volume of varied cargoes each week. Security plays a very important role and assists in the smooth running of such an important site.
