Shoreham Port were approached by Superstar Arts in Worthing at the beginning of the year to see if they could assist the charity in funding their next art project. The Port was only too happy to help, particularly with Superstar Arts being a local charity and one that they had not supported before.
Superstar Arts is a not for profit Community Interest Company that is committed to delivering high quality, meaningful creative projects for young people and adults with learning disabilities. Shoreham Port’s donation will be used to help fund the charities next ‘circus’ themed art project that will run over a ten week period.
Martin Dickinson from Superstar Arts commented “Our charity offers so many opportunities to adults with learning disabilities. Superstar Arts has a number of projects in areas such as cooking, singing and drama, as well as art.
Martin continued “We are extremely grateful to Shoreham Port for their kind donation that will help us to buy equipment for our latest art project. Our workshops mean so much to the people who attend them and it is thanks to local funding like this that we can continue to offer these brilliant experiences.”
Nicky Goldsbrough, Corporate Services Manager at Shoreham Port added “I’m delighted that we have been able to support Superstar Arts in their upcoming project. As a Trust Port we focus our efforts on helping charities in our local area, who do not usually receive major corporate funding. I would like to wish Superstar Arts all the best for their circus themed art workshops.”
