Shoreham Port completed the purchase of Maritime House last week and will be expanding their tenant community in the process due to the many businesses based at the site. The move means that Shoreham Port has added an additional 36 tenants to their portfolio, whilst providing further job opportunities locally.

Maritime House is a 20,000 sq. ft. fully serviced business centre with associated berths located at the eastern end of the Port’s canal on the Hove border. The building offers small to large individual business units giving flexible office rental for an array of business needs from start-ups, to well established companies. It also offers a number of services to both tenants and external companies such as meeting rooms, secretarial services and conference facilities. The purchase has increased the Port’s headcount with the staff that run the building being transferred to the Port’s growing employee base.

Donna Raynsford, Building Manager at Maritime House commented “It’s a really exciting time for Maritime House and for all of us that work here. We’re a small team so it will be great to build relationships with other Port employees to expand our network. I’m looking forward to working for the Port to ensure we provide the best service possible to our tenants.”

Tim Hague, Director of Property & Development at Shoreham Port commented “We are delighted to add such a well-run and successful business centre to our property portfolio. The addition of Maritime House to our extensive commercial property estate increases the range of accommodation we can offer to local businesses and means we are better equipped to meet the changing needs of our tenant community.”
