Shoreham Port was honoured to attend the twenty fourth Sussex Business Awards last night and to show support for local businesses at the South Lodge Hotel near Horsham. Shoreham Port entered the awards for the first time in the category of Sussex Company of the Year and was shortlisted for the finals, along with Horder Healthcare and Marlin Financial Group Ltd. The three companies were selected from eighteen nominees based in the Sussex area for the much sought after award.  

Rodney Lunn, Chief Executive commented “the Sussex Business Awards are a celebration of excellence amongst a variety of very different businesses in the South East and we were delighted to have been considered for the award”.

Shoreham Port would like to congratulate Marlin Financial Group Ltd on winning the award. Marlin Financial Group Ltd is the fifth fastest growing private-equity backed company in the UK and have offices in nearby Worthing and Steyning.

Over five hundred of the country’s leading business people attended the event including Peter Field, Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex and Chairman of the judges; Caroline Lucas MP, Tim Loughton MP, Jason Kitcat, leader of Brighton and Hove City Council and Neil Parkin, Leader of Adur District Council.
