We are delighted to announce a new addition to the Shoreham Port tenant community. Organic Roofs Limited have moved to Britannia Wharf East, Portslade.
With a workforce of six, Organic Roofs design, install and maintain green roofs across the UK. The concept behind green roofs is that they increase biodiversity and stormwater management in the built environment. Their customers include homeowners, contractors, suppliers and architects and estates/facilities managers.
Lee Evans of Organic Roofs said “We are delighted with our new premises at Shoreham Port from which we will continue our business of applying state-of-the-art research in design and craftsmen’s attention to detail to our green roof installations.”
Tim Hague, Property Manager at Shoreham Port added “Shoreham Port is focused on environmentally friendly developments and technology and we are therefore very happy to welcome a tenant with common aims.
Tim continued “Organic Roofs pioneer new methods such as a Swiss approach which uses meadow hay to reduce weight and hence cost. This method will enable wildflower planting for wide span commercial roofs and help meet the challenges of construction in an era of climate change and unpredictable weather patterns.”
