Shoreham Port are about to begin construction of a new commercial property estate, Lady Bee Enterprise Centre, off Albion Street in Southwick.

Lady Bee Enterprise Centre will comprise of three blocks of purpose built, contemporary modern commercial buildings, extending to a maximum of 18,000 square feet. ECE Architecture have designed the buildings featuring clean profiles and contemporary materials, in keeping with the port setting. The Port will increase their current renewable energy generation with solar panels and electric car charging points as part of the new estate.

The new units form part of the wider refurbishment of Lady Bee Marina and will enjoy views over the waterfront and marina moorings. The scheme will bring many new jobs to Southwick and will expand Shoreham Port’s tenant community which already stands at 150 companies.

Southwick based Pilbeam Construction has been awarded the contract. Construction starts in August and the units are expected to be ready in Spring 2019.

Tim Hague, Director of Property & Development at Shoreham Port commented “We have taken care to select a plan for this land which maximises job and employment space creation, whilst fitting in with the surroundings and existing activities. Seeing the new estate forming over the coming months will be really exciting, and it will act as a catalyst for further improvements to the Lady Bee Marina area.”
