Throughout the summer Shoreham Port ran its first ever photographic competition, searching for high quality images capturing the essence of Shoreham Port. We received an excellent response to the competition with well over one hundred entries. The standard was very high which has provided us with many new images for use in our marketing material. We would like to thank everyone that sent in photographs and helped to make the competition such a success!
The lucky winner was Derek Bunker from East Sussex. Derek’s winning shot (pictured right – line of forklifts) really stood out. Derek won a 16MP Fujifilm FinePix digital camera with 5x Optical Zoom. Derek was delighted to have won and advised all budding photographers to “never go out without your camera and don’t be afraid to take a picture”.
Rodney Lunn, Chief Executive said “congratulations to Derek for providing the winning image. The standard of photos was incredibly high making the decision of a winner very difficult. I would like to thank all entrants for submitting images and increasing our picture gallery”.
The top 4 photographs are featured below and will be printed in our next newsletter – PORTlife # 4. We always welcome fresh images so please keep snapping and share your photographs with us. Please email photographs to info@shoreham-port.co.uk (which should ideally be more than 1Mb in size).
