Shoreham Port’s next annual Public and Stakeholder’s Meeting will be held on Tuesday 1st July at the Barn Theatre in Southwick from 7pm – 9pm.
Everyone is welcome to come along to learn about the Port’s activities to date and progress made over the last year. The evening will begin with an introduction and presentation from Shoreham Port’s Chief Executive, Rodney Lunn, followed by an update from Chairman of the Board, Jim May.
The Public Meeting is a unique opportunity for guests to discuss key topics with members of the Senior Management Team. It has been a busy first half of the year at the Port with trade picking up and large volumes of cargoes coming through the Port. Coast protection work has also been taking steady steps forward with a further two new groynes being constructed. The Port has been expanding and taking on additional staff to support this growth. In addition to this the Port has continued to invest in their infrastructure and equipment. A new workboat for the team has now been launched; a pilot cutter is due for delivery shortly, and notwithstanding continual investment in operational equipment to ensure Shoreham is able to offer a quick and efficient service to their customers.
Rodney Lunn, Chief Executive at Shoreham Port commented “Last year’s meeting was very well attended and we look forward to discussing the future of Shoreham Port with members of the local community again this year. We welcome your thoughts and feedback and hope you can join us for an interesting evening on the 1st July.”
Light refreshments will be provided at the beginning and end of the meeting. If you have any further questions about the meeting please contact Katie Orchin on 01273 598100 or email korchin@shoreham-port.co.uk.
