On Wednesday 24th October Shoreham Port returned to Fontwell Park Racecourse for the 3rd consecutive year, to host another successful Customer Day. This year’s customer race day was extremely well attended with 75 customers, clients, suppliers and Board members joining them for the afternoon.
The objective of the day was to socialise and network with their customers and contractors whilst enjoying an afternoon of delicious food and exhilarating horse racing. The day was made particularly special with Shoreham Port sponsoring the first race of the afternoon. The 2.20pm Shoreham Port Customer Raceday Beginners' Chase had everyone on the edge of their seat as Global Power raced to victory beating close rival Dolatulo.
The excitement of the race continued with Shoreham Port’s Finance Director Sara Bassett and Deputy Chair Fiona Morris presenting the winning trophy to Trainer, Oliver Sherwood and Syndicate Owners ‘It Wasn’t Us’.
Shoreham Port received excellent feedback throughout the day. John Weslien from Ahlmark Shipping commented “we have had great company and exciting racing, not to mention lovely weather. It is a very good opportunity to network”. Gary Chown from NatWest Bank also commented “It has been good to see so many business people together, celebrating the success of Shoreham Port”.
Rodney Lunn, Chief Executive of Shoreham Port said “At our Customer Day we aim to provide an enjoyable and memorable experience for our customers and contractors, as a thank you for their continuous support. A fantastic day was had by all and we look forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s event”.
