Ahlmark moves it's UK Southern operation to Shoreham.
Swedish shipping line Ahlmark Lines AB., have appointed the Port of Shoreham as their Southern Terminal operator. Ahlmark's vessels will load cargoes from Kristinehamn on Lake Vanern and the East coast ports of Skelleftehamn and Iggesund. The first vessels are expected to load during February.
Chief Executive of the Ahlmark Group , Hakan Thorell said "I am delighted to announce a further expansion of our timber shipping operations and look forward to offering to our customers a first class service through the port of Shoreham".
Rodney Lunn, Chief Executive of Shoreham Port said "we are very pleased to be welcoming Ahlmark to Shoreham, we can assure them and their customers of a first class service. Shoreham Port have continued to invest and develop their infrastructure over the last 5 years and now have 42,000 sqm of warehousing, 30 forklifts and three modern Sennebogen hydraulic cranes for a quick and efficient discharge.
Ahlmark Lines also have regular liner services to Hull and Montrose.
