Pollution (Noise/Light/Dust/Smell)

At Shoreham Port we understand that disturbances such as noise, light, dust, or smells can impact your daily life. The Port operates in a busy area with neighbouring industrial activity, transport routes, and construction; factors that can make determining a root cause of such disturbances a challenge.

To ensure your concerns are properly investigated, we recommend that you report any issues related to noise, light, dust, or smells directly to your local council’s Environmental Health service. They have the dedicated teams and expertise to investigate and address the root cause locally. When reporting, a detailed record of the disturbances, including dates, times, and the nature of the impact, can be very helpful.

Shoreham Port is fully committed to working alongside local Environmental Health authorities with any investigations.
