BRIGHTON CHAMBER ELECTS SHOREHAM PORT DEPUTY CEO AS NEW VICE PRESIDENT

Shoreham Port’s Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive Sara Bassett is delighted to have been elected to the position of Vice President of Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce this week.

Brighton Chamber is a non-profit organisation that provides key support for a hugely diverse group of members in Brighton and Hove; including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), charities, and larger businesses. The Chamber provide a valuable place where members up-skill and learn, network, and connect to run more successful businesses.

Popular Brighton Chamber events include Q&A sessions, bitesize learning classes, and networking events such as their recent Chamber Breakfast with Shoreham Port’s Chief Executive Tom Willis, in which Tom shared exciting updates from the Port including their expanding tenant community made up of wide ranging enterprises.

Brighton Chamber’s activities also include business support for the wider business community and running the Brighton & Hove Living Wage Campaign, which encourages local businesses to voluntarily commit to paying their employees the Living Wage, of which Shoreham Port are one of the 625 businesses to sign the pledge.

What she brings to the Chamber is professionalism, positivity and her understanding of businesses. Sara has been on the Board for two years and has overseen the financial performance. Sara’s experience and skills as Financial Director and Deputy Chief Executive at Shoreham Port are so valuable for a not for profit company like the Chamber’.
