Boat Tours update - February 2021

Thank you to everyone who has been waiting for an update on our behind-the-scenes Boat Tours. Sadly, due to the pandemic, we had to cancel all planned tours during 2020 and although the situation is starting to look more positive, it is unlikely that we will be able to confidently plan for any tours this coming spring/summer.

Our team have been working hard to devise a new, sustainable format for our boat tours, meaning we could eventually offer tours throughout the year on a more flexible basis. We are hopeful that we will be able to run a few trial tours in the autumn before launching an exciting new program of tours from January 2022.

We have very much missed welcoming our community to the Port and meeting people face-to-face. We are always overwhelmed by the huge amount of support from our visitors and their enthusiasm for the many activities that take place at the Port. We have missed talking about our latest developments and exciting projects in the pipeline but hope you have enjoyed following our story online. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2022 and will keep you posted throughout the year with our plans.

You may have recently seen our post announcing plans for our new café ‘Port Kitchen’. We are making good headway with the café build and look forward to opening our doors later in the year. Again, we will keep you posted with our progress and please keep a look out for some menu teasers over the next few months!

On Tuesday 22nd June we will be holding a virtual Public Meeting from 6 - 7pm. Full details and a link for the meeting will be shared on our website and social media pages shortly. The Public Meeting is a fantastic opportunity to hear directly from our team. The meeting will consist of a short presentation, with some important updates, and conclude with a question-and-answer session. We hope to see you there!
