The Chief Executive is Rod Johnstone, who joined Shoreham Port in January 2003. He was elected as Council Member of the British Ports Association in 2005. He came to the port from the North Scotland Industries Group and prior to that he was Chief Executive of Cromarty Firth Port and worked at the Port of Montrose in a number of senior management positions. He is also a Director of Sussex Port Forwarding Limited and a Director of the Adur Economic Partnership.

The Financial Controller is Sara Bassett who has worked at the port since January 2007. Sara has a background within financial services and commercial accountancy.

The General Manager of Sussex Port Forwarding Limited is Alan Motterham who joined the company in 1997. He has over 30 years’ experience in mechanical engineering and stevedoring and holds a Diploma in Port Management.

The Harbour Master is Captain Colin Crookshank, who has been employed at the port since 1990, initially as a pilot and then Deputy Harbour Master before becoming Harbour Master in April 2002. He has a background in deep-sea shipping.

Peter Davies has recently joined the Port Authority as the new Development Director. Peter’s background is in planning and regeneration, having worked for several local authorities both in the midlands and in the south. His priorities in the newly created post will be maximising the potential of the Port Authority’s property holdings and leading on the development of major sites.

The Port Engineer is Tony Parker, a chartered engineer who joined the port at the beginning of 2006. Tony has 30 years experience in port and harbour engineering, coast protection and waterside development.
