Heavy Lifting
Several of the Port’s terminals have been approved for handling project cargoes requiring heavy lift capability.
Recent projects have included a generator and turbine block which were unloaded for the new power station, weighing 320 and 370 tonnes respectively.
In addition, repeat cargoes of large sectional steel for the new Terminal 5 project at Heathrow Airport and of coated steel pipes destined for gas pipelines, have been accommodated.
