Shoreham Port proactively supports our local community by encouraging community growth and development. As part of this, the Port considers sponsorship of local charities and events.
Highlights from 2010 included raising over £6,000 at our summer Open Day, which we donated to a variety of local charities and schools and sponsoring Matthew Rhodes, who ran the Brighton Marathon on behalf of St Dunstan's charity. In addition to this, the Port has supported many local events, either through a representative attending, presenting information or through direct funding.
Throughout 2011 the Port donated to many local charities and community groups. Support ranged from supporting local football clubs to help them buy new kit, to sponsoring individuals on charity walks, marathons and bungee jumps. To acknowledge the achievements of others Shoreham Port sponsored the Community Stars ‘Charity of the Year Award’.
In 2012 the Port has some unique and exciting community initiatives coming up. The details of which will be revealed soon...
