All reports to Shoreham Port Authority are taken very seriously and will be investigated.

To demonstrate the authorities commitment to maritime safety and ensure the involvement of harbour users, a monthly and a annual marine safety report will be published.

Commercial fishing vessel ran aground east of the Canal Bank Slip whilst manoeuvring. Vessel towed clear by Tug Adurni.

09/12/2011

Deputy Harbour Master investigated. No pollution or damage to vessel.

Commercial dredging vessel reported having found unexploded ordnance within drag head whilst caring out routine maintenance. Sussex Police informed and attached.

29/12/2011

Deputy Harbour Master attended. Ordnance removed by the Explosive Ordnance Devices(EOD) team.
