The Chief Executive is Rodney Lunn, who joined Shoreham Port in July 2009. He has spent over 30 years in the Maritime Industry, in a variety of senior management roles, gaining experience both in the UK and Overseas. Previously with Inchcape Shipping Services for 20 years, as Regional Managing Director, based in Europe, North America and the Middle East. Latterly he was their Group Commercial Director based in London, responsible for the global sales of their port agency and partnerships business. His early career was with Oceanroutes, a weather services company, where he was the Group Marketing Manager based in Aberdeen and London. Prior to this his maritime career started at sea with P&O, where he spent most of his time on general cargo ships. In addition to being on the Board of Shoreham Port, Rodney is also Managing Director of Sussex Port Forwarding and a Council member of the British Ports Association.

Sara has been Financial Controller of the Port since January 2007. Prior to joining the Port she has over 12 years experience of working within financial services and commercial accountancy working for companies such as LloydsTSB, American Express, Cytyc UK Ltd and Independent Growth Finance.
Sara is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
She is also Company Secretary to Sussex Port Forwarding Limited, The Port of Shoreham Trustee Company Limited and Shoreham Port Developments and Investments Limited.
As Financial Controller Sara is responsible for setting the financial strategy of the Port, managing the Ports Finance Team and working with Senior Management Team to ensure the Ports assets are fully utilized and maximizing revenue streams.

Alan Motterham is the General Manager/Director of Shoreham Port’s operations sector and joined the Port on 1 September 1997. His background is in engineering and his first employment was in civil engineering training while building a large steel plant in the south east. He then moved on to train as a mechanical engineer within a busy south coast port, being promoted to Foreman and then Supervisory Manager, getting involved with port operations during his 24 years’ employment before moving to Shoreham. Alan started at Shoreham Port as Operations Resources Manager and was involved with his team in the building of existing and new business as well as implementing new systems. He was promoted to General Manager in 2003 and was made a Director in 2007. Alan has a Diploma in Port Management and is a member of Port Skills and Safety Group.

The harbour master is Julian Seaman; he is a local man who has sailed in and out of Shoreham harbour numerous times during his 17 years working within the commercial fishing industry.
In 1999 he came ashore to begin a new career within the port industry as the Tug master at his home port of Shoreham harbour. In 2002 was promoted to Tug Master/Hydrographer and in 2008 was promoted to Assistant Harbour master before becoming Harbour Master in July 2009. Julian is the Port Facility Security Officer under the International Ship and Port Facility Security code for the port authority’s owned terminals and is also the chair of Shoreham Port Facility Security Committee.
He is a member of the Harbour Masters Association, International Harbour Masters Association, The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology, Central dredging Association and The Hydrographic Society UK.

Peter joined Shoreham Port in September 2007. His background is in planning and regeneration, having worked at a senior level for several local authorities both in the midlands and the south of England. He is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a Fellow of the Institute of Economic Development. His role on the team is managing the extensive property portfolio, marketing the port to bring in new business, developing the port’s environmental credentials, leading on major schemes identified in the port masterplan and working with partners in the regeneration of the wider harbour area.

Tony joined the Port at the beginning of 2006 with 30 years experience in the design, implementation and management of port and harbour facilities, coast protection and waterside development.
After a three year spell with piling and foundation specialists West’s Piling, Tony studied structural engineering at Sussex University. After graduation and two years of structural engineering research, he worked as a Resident Engineer on coast protection schemes around the UK and then joined the maritime wing of consultants Posford Duvivier, designing and project managing maritime and waterside schemes around the world. Schemes ranged from coast protection at Eastbourne through waterside and harbour developments at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth and Pwllheli Harbour, all in the UK, to port and marina developments throughout Europe and the world.
Tony is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a member of the ICE’s Maritime Panel.

The Safety & HR Manager is Paul Johnson who has been employed at the Port since March 2009, initially as H&S Manager before being promoted to his current role in January 2010. He has a 23 year career in the Royal Navy which saw him serve in the Falklands, Bosnia, Kosovo and Gulf and several years in the manufacturing industry as a Health and Safety Manager.
Paul is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner. As well as advising the team on all Safety and HR issues, Paul is also the appointed CDM coordinator for all ongoing and future construction work. Paul is a member of the Ports Skills and Safety Group, Institute Occupational Safety and Health, International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and Institute of Fire Engineers. He has Diplomas in Health and Safety, Human Resources and Business Administration.
