Community Support

We are always looking at exciting and educational ways to engage with our local community and each year host a number of tours and events that give visitors a unique insight into life behind-the-scenes at Shoreham Port.

Schools Trips

We have a close relationship with many of the schools in our local area and we are always happy to accommodate a school or class who has an interest in visiting the Port. Pupils will be able to see areas of the Port that are usually off-limits to the public, such as the new Dive Centre and Dry Dock area. School trips usually take place in the summer term and last for approximately 90 minutes.

Port Tours

We are delighted to receive a high number of port tour requests each year and do our best to accommodate a diverse range of stakeholders such as WI groups, Universities, local societies and community associations. In July each year we hold a two-day boat tours event which gives visitors the opportunity to see the best the Port has to offer from the water. For more information please visit our Boat Tours page.

In addition to the boat tours we also offer a small number of coach tours each year which enable visitors to view the Port on foot, whilst travelling from one area to the next by coach. One particularly popular event is the Brighton and Hove Open Days port tour which takes place in September. Full details regarding this tour will be released in July.

 Boat Tours

In addition to the boat tours, we hold an Annual Public & Stakeholders Meeting which is a great opportunity to speak directly with members of our Senior Leadership Team and find out about the performance of the Port and plans for the future. Our next Public Meeting will be held in May 2018. Please check our Public Meeting page for updates nearer the time.

Our staff presentations have become hugely popular and members of our team regularly present to a range of community groups covering topics such as the history of Shoreham Port all the way through to the future of the Port and its importance to the local economy.

Donations and Sponsorship

Our CSR Committee meet once a month to discuss all donation and sponsorship requests. We aim to support as many charities and causes in our local area as possible. If you would like to send a request to us please do so using our online donations form.

In December we select our Christmas charity for the year. In 2017 we were delighted to support The Samaritans in Brighton and Hove.
