Shoreham Port’s latest tenant, Shutterly Fabulous has made quite an impact on its new home – a 12 foot wide, 12 foot tall hole in one wall at Quayside House.
Thankfully, the space has now been filled by large doors, which will form an impressive entranceway to the company’s new showroom.
Shoreham Port was fully supportive of its new tenants rather unusual request and was pleased to be able to accommodate the designer and installer of bespoke blinds and its sister company, The California Shutter & Blind Company.
Established in 2001, Shutterly Fabulous has enjoyed impressive growth serving clients in London and the South East. Previously based in Claremont Road, Brighton, the company’s 15 staff needed some room to breath plus warehousing and space for the new showroom.
Shutterly Fabulous provides a bespoke shutter design and installation service for people in London and the South East, whilst The California Shutter & Blind Company offers people across the UK the chance to buy high quality wood blinds, aluminum blinds and wood plantation shutters online. Both companies are now really at home in Quayside House.
“We’d simply outgrown our previous offices in Brighton and wanted to relocate to new premises which would allow us to continue our growth. Quayside House allows us to do that perfectly. The offices easily seat our 15 staff and we have warehousing plus a new showroom below us,” says Murray Clark, Director.
“I have to say we were a little apprehensive about asking if we could make such a dramatic structural alteration to the building but Shoreham Port were great. They could see how our plans would bring new life to the building and made the whole process of moving in and altering the building straight forward and hassle free. We’re really looking forward to growing the business from our new home.”
